Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of WealthWise (“the Service”), operated from India. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Important — this is not financial advice
WealthWise is an educational budgeting and money-tracking tool. We are not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser, a Research Analyst, or a distributor of financial products. Nothing in the Service is personalised investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Always consult a SEBI-registered adviser before making an investment decision.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. By using the Service you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are using it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at the address in Section 12 if you suspect unauthorised access. You may sign in with email and password or with Google.
3. What the Service does
WealthWise helps you record income and expenses, generate an indicative budget, track goals and debts, split expenses with others, and model the impact of a spending decision. Some features use artificial intelligence, including Google Gemini.
AI output can be wrong. Budgets, insights, categorisations and simulations are estimates generated from the data you enter. They are not guarantees, projections you should rely on, or professional advice. Always check the numbers before acting on them.
4. Your data
You keep ownership of everything you enter. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to operate the Service for you. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
You can export your data or delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your budgets, expenses, goals, debts and split-expense records.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, including money laundering or tax evasion;
- upload another person’s financial data without their permission;
- attempt to breach, probe, or overload our systems, or bypass rate limits;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute any part of the Service;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity.
6. Split expenses between users
Split-expense balances are a record-keeping convenience only. WealthWise does not hold, transfer, or settle money between users. Any actual payment happens directly between you and the other person, outside the Service. We are not a party to those obligations and cannot resolve disputes about them.
7. Availability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access and may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will give reasonable notice before discontinuing a feature you actively rely on, where we can.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WealthWise is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any financial loss arising from decisions you make using the Service. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 1,000.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. We will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at your place of residence in India, or at our registered place of business, will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
12. Contact
